SMHV not removing backups as per retention

Issue

  • SMHV does not delete snapshots as per retention
  1. Backup in SMHV might show the following error:

"An error occured while deleting snapshot. continuing with rest of the snapshots (if any) Error: Invalid snapdrive response for snapshot deletion request"

  1. SDW Logs <snpdrvdbglog.log> will include the following:

"Failed to get the storage system object for storage system xxx.yyy.zzz to retrieve the reachable ip address"

"Failed to get the storage system object for storage system '<SVMname>.<domain>' to retrieve the reachable ip address"
