MetroCluster is configured with 8 paths to disk per node instead of 4

  • System configured with 8 paths to each disk per node due to ATTOs using both FC ports and switches using single FC port zoning.

Issue

Each node in the MetroCluster configuration can only support a maximum of 4 paths to disks.

ONTAP 9.7 and later

ClusterA::> storage show disk -fields path-count -type !LUN

ONTAP 9.6 and earlier
