Answer

Yes, these lifs must be re-homed and migrated manually.
::> network interface modify -vserver <vserver> -lif <lif> -home-port <port> -home-node <node>
::> network interface revert  -vserver <vserver> -lif <lif>
 
Once moved, ensure the configuration is checked.
::> metrocluster check run
::> metrocluster check show
