Global File Cache: Why does T-Service automatically stop on my Edge?

  • Global File Cache (GFC)
  • GFC Edge
  • License Manager Server (LMS)

Answer

TService on an Edge will automatically stop when the Edge can not contact the License Manager Server for Longer than 7 days. 

Possible Causes:

  • Firewall change, port 443 is no longer open.
  • License Manager Server is not available on the network.
  • License Manger Server hardware failure.

 

 

 

Additional Information

If you have verified connectivity between the LMS and Edge and port 443 being open. Please contact  support for additional tourbleshooting assistance.
