Cloud Manager change license and instance type fails with timeout

  • NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)
  • NetApp Cloud Manager


  • After hitting standard license capacity limitation of 10 TB, license must be changed to premium and this also requires changing instance type
  • Change license and instance type is attempted in Cloud Manager and fails with following error:
2020-10-17 11:44:08,551 UTC INFO  [Change License And Instance Type] [51dUzbIu] [             ] [USER NAME ] ( [S3FileReader:63] failed getting bucket:
akka.pattern.AskTimeoutException: Ask timed out on [Actor[akka.tcp://oncloud@]] after [10000 ms]. Sender[null] sent message of type "com.netapp.oncloud.common.configuration.ConfigActor$GetValue".
