Issue

  • The Cloud Insights Acquistion Unit (AU) fails to install on step 4/8 - Logging in to Cloud Insights

4/8 Logging in to Cloud Insights...........................................................................

Acquisition Unit failed to start after waiting for 600 seconds. Please check /var/log/netapp/cloudinsights/acq/acq.log for more details.
 
 
The acq.log located at /var/log/netapp/cloudinsights/acq shows errors similar to the following:
 
2022-03-01 15:36:16,478 WARN [Http request timer] - Aborted execution of HTTP request after 20000 ms: GET /rest/v1/au/login/<tenant uuid>
2022-03-01 15:36:16,478 WARN [main] com.onaro.sanscreen.acquisition.framework.mgmt.CommunicationManager (CommunicationManager.java:1714) - Request failed, retrying in 19502 ms: Error executing GET request to /rest/v1/au/login/<tenant uuid>.

Caused by: java.net.SocketException: Socket closed
 
  • For an existing data collector this issue can also appear as a 'Heartbeat failure' of the assigned Acqusition Unit
