  • MetroCluster
  • Brocade Longwave (LWL)/Shortwave (SWL) SFPs

Answer

  • There is no minimum operating distance as per Brocade documentation for longwave SFPs
  • It is still recommended to use the proper wave length as there is a potential to overdrive the receivers without attenuation

Additional Information

Depending on the speed used, Brocade short wave SFPs can be used from 0.5m up to 400m as per documentation
