Cluster network degraded after Cisco NX-OS upgrade

Issue

Following Cisco switch firmware upgrade from  NX-OS 7.0(3)I6(1) to NX-OS 7.0(3)I7(5a) , Cluster reporting :

"HA Group Notification (CLUSTER NETWORK DEGRADED) ALERT"

ems log will show the following errors 

Sun Feb 09 14:16:46 CET [Cluster1_01: vifmgr: vifmgr.cluscheck.droppednone:notice]: No packet loss when pinging from cluster lif Cluster1_01_clus2 (node Cluster1_01) to cluster lif Cluster1_02_clus2 (node Cluster1_02).

Cluster ping fails: (advanced privilege)
