  • The issue persists even after reboot of the affected bridge

Issue

When upgrading firmware on an ATTO 7600N fibrebridge using the GUI the process does not complete and output of the flashimages command only shows the following and hangs:

flashimages
;Type                    Version
;========================================================================
Primary

The bridge is still running but the output of storage path show on the attached clusters shows 0 KB/s and 0 IOPS for the affected bridge

The output of storage bridge show -instance shows the affected bridge as still having the old firmware version

When checking bridge logs the following entry is visible:

011CD6 14:18:27 12/17/20 CRIT Failed to erase flash

Followed by these entries showing that the FC ports are flapping:

011CD7 14:18:27 12/17/20 INFO FC Async Event, Link Down, PTP/Fabric, 16Gb on FC Port 1
011CDC 14:18:29 12/17/20 INFO FC Async Event, Link Down, PTP/Fabric, 16Gb on FC Port 2
