Why objects are not sorted when the initial LUN page is loaded?

Last Updated:

Applies to

ONTAP System Manager (OSM)

  • The pages are expected to load with an intuitive default sort. For example, the Name.
  • For some pages, SVM + path is the more natural order.
  • When a page loads for the first time, objects are not sorted in proper order or columns.
  • It is difficult to find a specific object in this view if there are multiple objects.
  • At least one additional click is required to sort, which causes data reload.
  • The default sorting is expected to be according to the first column (in this case, by name) in ascending order
  • OSM lists the objects as they are delivered by API (which is by ID), and in the order they have been created.
