  • Number of drives reserved by default for preservation capacity when creating a Disk Pool in SANtricity:

  • Table can be used to determine number of drives required for preservation capacity for new disk pools or adding/removing drives to an existing disk pool
  • The number of drives assigned for preservation capacity will depend on user comfort level with amount of failures the disk pool can sustain before failing
