Answer

AutoSupport for SCV failed operation to storage system is configurable in the Add Storage System wizard. This AutoSupport is sent when an operation to the storage system fails.

Note: This is not an alternative to resource group notification which is about resource group operations. Both AutoSupport and resource group notification can be sent during a same resource group operation.
