Applies to

  • SnapCenter 6.0
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft SQL Server (SCSQL) 6.0
  • Microsoft Clustering Service (MSCS)

Issue

  • Directory remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX is created in %TEMP% of SnapCenter administrator user on the plug-in host when running SCSQL backup job with MSCS

Example: Job_remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost/remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_0a017af8-0775-4fae-b456-463aa0ccf813

  • The directory has the following 3 files:

FailoverClusters.psd1
remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX.format.ps1xml
remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX.psm1

Examples:
remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_0a017af8-0775-4fae-b456-463aa0ccf813.format.ps1xml
remoteIpMoProxy_FailoverClusters_2.0.0.0_localhost_0a017af8-0775-4fae-b456-463aa0ccf813.psm1

  • The files and directory accumulate and consume disk space because they are not removed even after a backup job is completed
