SCV fails Snapshot with operation failed, No tag in reply

Issue

While running the Backup, the process fails on the function New-NcSnapshotMulti, as found in the job-<JOB_NUMBER>.log:
API exception: NetApp.Ontapi.NaException: No tag in reply.
       at NetApp.Ontapi.NaResponse.parseResponse(Type t)
       at NetApp.Ontapi.NaServer.Invoke(Object req, Type resultType)
       at NetApp.Ontapi.NaApi`1.Invoke(INaServer server)
       at NetApp.DataProtection.Storage.CommandAPI.NewNcSnapshotMulti.ProcessRecord(NcController controller)
[ERR] Failed to run a command New-NcSnapshotMulti
[DBG] No retry condition match found or max retry reached. Throwing error No <results> tag in reply.. No <results> tag in reply.
 
The XML message returned to the wfe_<JOB_NUMBER>.log contains:
          <_message>Snapshot operation failed. No <results> tag in reply.</_message>
          <_errorCode>116</_errorCode>
