SCSQL log backup retention fails after upgrading to SC 5.0

Issue

After upgrading to SnapCenter Server and SCSQL Plug-ins to 5.0, SQL log backup retention starts failing with the following errors:
 
SnapCenter UI:
 
Full Backup retention failed with error: Retention: Error: Snapshot enumeration failed. The operation has timed out
 
 
SMCoreService.log:
