  • ONTAP 9
    • SnapMirror active sync(SM-AS) 
      • AKA as: NetApp SnapMirror Business Continuity (SM-BC) 
  • ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV)

Answer

  • SM-AS is supported from OTV 10.2 along with ONTAP 9.15.1 onwards.
  • SM-AS discovery is not supported in previous OTV\ONTAP versions
    • OTV 9.12 & 9.13, will not be able to differentiate between source and target.

Note: OTV 9.x & OTV 10.x are two different architectures.
