Issue

  • In OnCommand Insight (OCI), an incorrect value is displayed for Object Store used space for a NetApp Data ONTAP data source.
  • Converting the displayed value from GB (base 10) to bytes and then back to GiB (base 2) gives the correct, expected value.

    Example
Object Store used in ONTAP: 652850995200 bytes
Object Store used in OCI: 652
    Expected in OCI: 608

Note: In OCI, storage space values are displayed with base 10 unit labels (e.g. "GB"), but the values displayed are generated from base 2 calculations. Even though the above unit is correctly converted in base 10 from bytes to GB, it is inconsistent with how all other storage space values in OCI are produced (converted from bytes to GiB and labeled with "GB").
