Answer

Unified Manager does not support inheritence when adding resources to an alert.

  • Adding << All Clusters >> or individual clusters will not inherit the aggregates, volumes, luns, etc that exist within the cluster.
  • The alert above will only alert on events based on the source type of Cluster.
  • Each event has a source type such as Cluster, Node, Storage VM, Volume, etc.
