Active IQ Unified Manager fails to communicate with a cluster due to network connectivity issues

While attempting to add or collect from a cluster in Active IQ Unified Manager (UM), the inventory collection or cluster add operation fails. The error or reason message presented in the UI may indicate a certificate or network connectivity error. Examples include:

  • Failed to fetch the HTTPS certificate from Enter a valid Host name or Port.
  • Cluster cannot be reached. Ensure that there is network connectivity to the cluster and the API has not timed out.
