Can Datalock be introduced to a Working Environment with existing BlueXP CBS backups?

Answer

  • No, existing Backups in the Cloud can not be modified to be protected with DataLock Protection
  • All existing Backups in CBS Cloud need to be deleted before and the Cloud Bucket Destination needs to be deleted
  • The SnapMirror to Cloud  Relationship needs to be deleted and released from the Source Cluster
  • After all Cloud backups are deleted you can re-enable Cloud Backup by selecting a Protection policy that utilizes DataLock
