How to resynchronize the Cloud Volumes Service for AWS CIFS server machine account if it was deleted or modified in AD

  1. Select the Active Directory tab
  2. Click the Actions dropdown on the row that corresponds to the Active Directory settings that are being modified
  3. Select Update Active Directory
    • This will bring up the "Update active directory" pane
  4. Change the NetBIOS name to a different, available name
  5. Click Update Active Directory
  6. After this finishes, repeat the process with the original name
  7. 'klist purge' any clients that may have a stale kerberos ticket from their CLI
