SDU clone split from SMO/SMSAP fails for ONTAP 9 with restricted snapshot error

  • SnapDrive for Unix (SDU) 5.3.2P2 and earlier
  • SnapManager for Oracle (SMO) 4.3.x
  • SnapManager for SAP (SMSAP) 4.3.x

Issue

When attempting to split a clone from SnapManager for Oracle (SMO) or SAP (SMSAP), SnapDrive fails the operation with:
 
--[INFO] Operation failed. Clone Split Start failed.  Errors: CS-100002: Estimated Available Space <SIZE> in mb.
SD-10027: SnapDrive Message ID=null Code=805 Category=null Source=null Message=Storage system Volume  <SVM_IP>:/vol/SnapManager_<DATETIME>_<HOSTNAME>_<MOUNT>  contains restricted snapshots
