Answer

  • During the recovery process, the system communicates with the cloud provider and recovers all the namespace files that existed before the failure
  • The recovery process can take anywhere from a few seconds to a few hours, depending on the backup(s) being restored
  • The duration of this process depends on how many files you stored on AltaVault before the failure
  • Enter the show service command to determine the date and time until which the datastore has been replicated
